A: Starting in PDF Studio 2021.1.0, PDF Studio implements a custom URL protocol allowing it to be launched from a web browser by clicking on a web link. This feature is available on Windows, macOS and Linux. PDF Studio application needs to be installed on the users machine of course.

To use PDF Studio’s web launcher, user the following URL format in your web links:

PDF Studio:

pdfstudio.weblauncher:[full path to your PDF document]

The path to the document can be a path to a file located on your local machine, on a network location or a URL / web link to a PDF hosted online.
