Q: I am running PDF Studio 7 under Linux. I updated the application toolbar settings to hide a few tools that I don’t need but the space on the toolbar for the hidden buttons is left blank. Why is the toolbar the same length, even when I choose to group the buttons under a grouped toolbar?
A: You may be running the OpenJDK instead of the official Sun Java Virtual Machine.
The GTK and Nimbus Look and Feels have an issue with toolbar spacing.
You can either:
- Reinstall using our Linux installer which comes packaged with the official Sun Java Virtual Machine.
- Switch to the Metal Look and Feel. But please be aware that there are other known bugs with the OpenJDK (for instance, importing JPEG is not working in PDF Studio).
