Q: After installing PDF Studio, thumbnails do not show for my PDF documents on my Windows 7 computer. How can I restore this?

A: Try the following:

  1. Uninstall PDF Studio
  2. Uninstall Adobe Reader (or whatever was your default application for PDF viewing before installing PDF Studio).
  3. Reinstall Adobe Reader
  4. Reinstall PDF Studio but un-check all file associations.

These steps should restore the thumbnail preview but, unfortunately, will also make Adobe Reader your default PDF viewer.

To open files in PDF Studio, you can:

  • Drag and drop PDF files onto the PDF Studio icon on your desktop
  • Right-click on any PDF file and choosing Open With > PDF Studio from the mouse menu.
