Q: I’m running PDF Studio 2024 on macOS and when I try to convert .docx, .xlsx and .ppt files to PDF and vice versa I receive a JAXBExcption error. How can I solve this issue?
A: This is a known issue with the current mac installer. It is missing some key files for Office Conversion and can be solved with one of two options:
Option 1: Upgrade to the lates version of Xodo PDF Studio
As PDF Studio has transitioned to Xodo PDF Studio, PDF Studio is no longer offering updates. The simplest solution is to purchase an upgrade to the latest version of the actively maintained Xodo PDF Studio
Option 2: Download missing jar files
If you wish to stay with your current version of PDF Studio, follow the following steps:
1. Download the missing files – jdk11.zip
2. Exit PDF Studio if it is currently running
3. In Finder, Ctrl-click on PDF Studio 2024.app and Show Package Contents
4. Navigate to java/app/lib
5. Extract jdk11.zip directly under the lib folder. This should result in a java/app/lib/jdk11 folder containing 4 jar files
This should resolve all Office conversion issues
