Q: When I markup text with a yellow text highlight, the highlight is a little blurry on my document. Is there a reason for this?
A: There was an issue affecting Mac OS X users and Ubuntu users (Ubuntu 12.04 and higher).
This issue is resolved in version 8.2.2 for Mac OS X.
This issue is resolved in version 8.3.1 for Ubuntu.
Text highlights are now crisp and transparent again.
For very specific cases, for instance when running Linux remotely using X server, PDF Studio will still have to revert to an alpha composite (not as crisp and transparent) instead of a standard highlight. This workaround has been implemented to avoid the following error:
