Q: When I tried to update PDF Studio to the latest version on macOS big Sur, I received an “Invalid checksum” error message. How can I update to the latest version?
A: Recent macOS changes require an application to be notarized with a developer certificate before it can be installed. This notarization process modifies the installer which on some machines can produce a checksum validation error when it is run in the background during the update process. We are currently working with our installer application to try and resolve this.
In the meantime, to update, simply download the latest installer directly from our website and make sure to choose the “Update existing installation” option.
