Q: Is there a way to change the background color in reading mode?
A: Yes, the background color can be changed in reading mode in order to improve ease of use. It can also be set to a darker color for use in presentations to hide the background area so that only the main slide contents are visible.
To change the background color go to Preferences -> Display and use the Full Screen Appearance setting.
